So there really isn’t much to talk about for unboxing.

The unboxing and setup of the Feedback Sports Classic Bike Repair Stand is quick and simple thanks to the stand coming fully assembled. All you have to do is open a couple quick release levers to unfold the legs and adjust the height and then flip the clamp arm into place and tighten the knob on the back. And you are ready to rock and roll.

The Classic Repair Stand folds up for transportation quick and easily and setups just as fast. And at a weight of 11.1 lbs, it is easily portable. Plus, Feedback Sports also sells a Travel Bag for their work stands making it even easier carry.

The nicely red anodized frame adjusts to 71″ (180cm) to accommodate all heights of mechanics.

Three legs and a large footprint makes the Feedback Sports Classic Repair Stand super stable for when you are really going to town on a stubborn crank bolt or seized pedal.

The Rest

So with the stand itself covered, that just leaves talking about the clamp jaw of the Classic Repair Stand.

Its pretty quick and easy to adjust the Slide Lock clamp jaw of the Feedback Sports Classic Repair Stand to the required width. All you have to do is give the knob on the front one half turn counter-clockwise and pull to open the jaws wider. And, once you get the seatpost in position, just push the clamp jaw to slide it in against the seatpost to quickly close the clamp and then rotate the knob to snug things up.

The Slide Lock jaw is definitely a super useful feature on the Classic Repair Stand. Being able to quickly open and close the clamp comes in handy when struggling to lift an ebike into your repair stand. But I have found it a little finicky to turn the knob to the right position to get the jaw to slide open and it seems to take more than a half turn to find the spot.

Speaking of ebikes, the Feedback Sports Classic Repair Stand can hold up to 85 lbs.

Feedback Sports Classic Bike Repair Stand allows you to rotate your bike a full 360 degrees.

It is also easy to adjust the angle of the bike in the stand and you can even rotate the bike a complete 360 degrees, if you so desire. While you may not need to flip your bike upside down while in the Classic Repair Stand, being able to angle the front of the bike down does keep the front end from flopping around. You just need to loosen the knob on the back a little bit, rotate the head to your desired position, and tighten it back up. If you loosen it too much though, the arm does start to fold down which can be a pain with a heavy bike in the stand but does take a lot of loosening before it folds all the way down.

The Round Up

What about price you ask? The Feedback Sports Classic Repair Stand retails for $225 USD. That puts it in direct competition with the Park Tool PCS-9.2 repair stand which retails for $230 USD. And having now used both stands, the Classic Repair Stand beats the PCS-9.2 in basically every category. The two biggest advantages that the Feedback stand has is a more stable base (3 legs vs. 2 legs) and the quick adjusting Slide Lock clamp rather than a handle you have to turn a bunch of times.

So if you are deciding between the Park Tool PCS-9.2 and the Feedback Sports Classic Repair Stand, my suggestion is get the Feedback.

In conclusion, the Feedback Sports Classic Repair Stand is an excellent option for a home mechanic. It folds up easily and is made of lightweight aluminum which makes it super portable as well. And while the Slide Lock clamp is a little finicky to figure out at first it is a super handy feature to quickly secure/remove a bike in/from the stand. So if you are looking for a new stand to upgrade your home shop or start doing your own maintenance, you can’t go wrong with the Feedback Sports Classic Repair Stand.
